Students of all disciplines meet in several amateur symphony orchestras, such as the Freiburg Student Symphony Orchestra (FSSO) or the Academic Orchestra Freiburg (aka), the official symphony orchestra of the University of Freiburg.
Each semester, the orchestras develop a new program consisting of symphonies, overtures and solo concerts, or with ensembles that form the middle of the orchestra. Alumni Freiburg e.V. supports the performances of the orchestras in the Audimax, the Konzerthaus Freiburg or for charitable performances.
